I. Tungsten Carbide Rods
1. What is the diameter and length range of your tungsten carbide rods?
A: Diameter ranges from 0.3mm to 50mm, length up to 1000mm. Sizes beyond this range can be customized according to your drawings.
2. What grades are available and what applications are they suitable for?
A: Common grades include YG8, YG10, YG15, YG20, YL10.2, YL10.2A, etc. For example, YL10.2 is suitable for stainless steel and titanium alloy processing, while YG series are suitable for conventional materials like cast iron and steel.
3. What tools are your rods recommended for?
A: They are suitable for making twist drills, end mills, taps, gun drills and other rotary cutting tools, capable of machining steel, cast iron, stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, nickel-based and titanium alloys.
4. What raw material do you use?
A: We use 100% virgin material for production, no recycled material, ensuring excellent wear resistance, bending strength, durability, and easy machinability.
II. Tungsten Carbide Bars
1. What advantages do tungsten carbide bars have over HSS?
A: Performance is much better than HSS, with excellent red hardness, wear resistance, high hardness and good toughness, maintaining cutting ability even at high temperatures.
2. How is the brazing performance?
A: Our products are easy to braze with good applicability, and can be firmly welded to steel substrates.
3. How about the dimensional accuracy?
A: Stable internal performance and high precision for appearance dimensions. We have a wide selection of standard sizes in stock and also accept fully customized products according to drawings.
III. Tungsten Carbide Plates
1. How are the red hardness and wear resistance of your plates?
A: They have excellent red hardness, high hardness, good wear resistance and chemical stability, suitable for long-term use under high temperature and wear conditions.
2. How do you ensure there are no sand holes or pores inside?
A: Each batch of plates undergoes non-destructive ultrasonic flaw detection, ensuring no sand holes or pores, with reliable quality.
3. What sintering process do you use?
A: The plates are sintered by HIP (Hot Isostatic Press) sintering furnace, greatly reducing porosity and enhancing compactness. The blanks are formed by isostatic pressing machine, resulting in more uniform density and effectively preventing pressing defects.
4. Will cracks occur during cutting and processing?
A: Our plates undergo stress release treatment, effectively avoiding cracks during cutting and forming processes.
IV. YD Type Tungsten Carbide Composite Rods / Welding Rods
1. What other names does YD tungsten carbide composite rod have?
A: Also known as YD cemented carbide welding rods, YD cemented carbide brazing rods, YD composite alloy rods, etc.
2. What are the hardness and particle sizes?
A: Hardness > 160HB. Particle sizes available: 1-3mm, 3-5mm, 5-7mm, 6-8mm, 8-10mm, 9-12mm. Weight: 450g/pc.
3. What industry are they mainly used in?
A: They are mainly used for surfacing on fishing tools and drilling bits in the oil and gas industry, greatly improving wear life.
V. Tungsten Carbide Grits
1. What material is this made of?
A: Made of YG type cemented carbide raw material through mechanical crushing.
2. What are the hardness and particle size range?
A: Hardness > 160HB. Particle size range: 10 mesh to 80 mesh, can also be customized according to customer requirements.
3. What are the main uses?
A: Used for metal surface spraying and workpiece surfacing to improve wear-resistant layer performance.
VI. Ground and Polished Balls
1. What diameter range of tungsten carbide balls can you produce?
A: We have various ball molds and can produce fine grinding balls with diameters from 0.3mm to 60mm.
2. How do you ensure no internal defects?
A: Sintered by vacuum integrated furnace or high-pressure sintering furnace, with good performance, 100% free of pores and sand holes.
3. What are the blank tolerances and processing methods?
A: Blanks with rings and balls can be provided, with grinding tolerances of 0~+0.2mm. Rough grinding, polishing, and fine grinding are available.
4. What grades are available?
A: Commonly used grades are YG6, YG8, YG6X, YG13, YN6, YN9, YN12, YT5, YT15, etc., recommended according to actual applications.
5. Can you produce non-standard sizes?
A: Yes. Non-standard sizes can be produced according to customer's drawings and requirements.
VII. Tungsten Carbide Wear Parts
1. What are your tungsten carbide inserts mainly used for?
A: They are mainly used in oilfield TC bearings and coal mine drill wear blocks, as well as cone drills, diamond drills and stabilizers.
2. What is the lead time when out of stock?
A: The estimated lead time will be about 15-25 working days when out of stock.
VIII. Tungsten Carbide Mining Tips
1. What types of mining tips do you offer?
A: Various types and dimensions of button bits tips are available for selection.
2. Do you use virgin material or recycled material?
A: Both virgin material and recycled material can be supplied according to customer's quality requirements. Price is negotiable for very large demand.
3. What is the lead time?
A: Estimated lead time will be 15-25 days if no stock.
IX. Cutting Tools
1. What turning insert series do you offer?
A: We offer VNMG/VNGG series, CNMA/CNMG series, DCMT series, CCMT series, SNMA/SNMG/SNMM series, DNMA/DNMG series, RNMG/RCMX series, etc.
2. What milling insert series do you offer?
A: We offer RDMW/RDMT series, LNMU/LOGU series high feed milling inserts, RPMW/RPMT series, APMT series, RCKT series, etc.
3. What hole machining inserts do you offer?
A: For shallow-hole drilling: SPMG/WCMX/WCMT series. For deep-hole drilling: TPMT/TPMX/800/R800.24/R424.9 series.
4. What grooving and threading insert series do you offer?
A: Grooving inserts: MGMN and MRMN series. Threading inserts: T16IR/T16ER series, suitable for machining steel and stainless steel.
X. Selection & Technical Support
1. How do I choose the right grade for my application?
A: Please let us know your specific application (cutting/wear/impact), workpiece material, equipment parameters, and current problems. We will provide free grade recommendations.
2. What do grades like YG, YT, YL mean?
A: These are grade designations in China's national standard for cemented carbide:

YG (tungsten-cobalt): Suitable for cast iron, non-ferrous metals, wear parts

A: Of course. Please let us know your workpiece material, working conditions (cutting/wear/impact), current problems, etc. Our engineers will recommend suitable grades and specifications.
4. Do you provide technical data sheets or drawings?
A: Yes. We can provide product specifications, material certificates, dimensional drawings, CAD models, etc. Please let us know what you need.
5. What is red hardness?
A: Red hardness refers to the ability of a tool material to maintain hardness and cutting ability at high temperatures (such as those generated during cutting). Tungsten carbide has much better red hardness than HSS.
6. What is the difference between virgin material and recycled material?
A: Virgin material is produced directly from ores or raw chemicals, with high purity and stable performance. Recycled material is reprocessed from scrap cemented carbide, with lower cost but higher impurity content and certain performance differences.
7. What does HIP sintering mean?
A: HIP stands for Hot Isostatic Pressing, a sintering process under high temperature and high pressure, which can significantly reduce internal porosity and improve density and mechanical properties.
8. How does your tungsten carbide compare with brands like Sandvik or Kennametal?
A: For conventional applications, our product performance is comparable to brands like Sandvik and Kennametal, but with better pricing.
9. What is the binder phase and how does cobalt content affect performance?
A: The binder phase is typically cobalt (Co), which bonds the tungsten carbide particles together. Higher cobalt content gives better toughness but lower hardness. Common cobalt content ranges from 3% to 25%.
10. Can tungsten carbide be machined?
A: Tungsten carbide is extremely hard after sintering and cannot be machined with conventional tools. It is typically ground with diamond wheels or processed with EDM (electrical discharge machining) for complex shapes.
11. Does tungsten carbide rust?
A: Tungsten carbide itself does not rust, but products with cobalt binder may show surface oxidation in extremely corrosive environments. For corrosive conditions, we can provide special grades or coatings.

2. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: For standard products like rods and inserts, MOQ can be as low as 10-20 pieces. For customized products or large-size plates, please contact us.
3. Are your prices competitive?
A: We are a direct factory with no middlemen. We offer competitive prices at the same quality level, and better quality at the same price level.
4. Can I get a discount for large orders?
A: Yes, the larger the order quantity, the better the unit price. Please contact us with your quantity for specific discounts.
5. Will prices fluctuate?
A: When raw material prices fluctuate significantly, we will adjust our quotations accordingly. Our quotation is valid for 30 days. Please refer to the latest quotation.
6. Does the price include shipping cost?
A: Usually our quotation is EXW (factory) price, excluding shipping. If you need FOB, CIF or DDP price, please let us know your destination port or address, and we will calculate for you.

1. What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept T/T (bank transfer), L/C, Western Union, and PayPal.
XIII. Customization Service
1. Can you do OEM/ODM?
A: Yes. We accept OEM (production according to your drawings) and ODM (we assist with design). Please provide drawings, samples or detailed specifications.
2. What is the MOQ for customized products?
A: MOQ for customized products is typically higher than for standard products, depending on complexity. Generally, 50-100 pieces for plates and special shapes; lower for inserts. Please contact us for a specific quote.
3. What is the lead time for customized products?
A: Usually 7-15 days. Complex products or large-size blanks may take 15-25 days.
XIV. Shipping & Logistics
1. What shipping methods do you use?
A: For samples or small packages: DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT. For bulk orders: sea freight or air freight. We will choose the best solution for you.
2. How is shipping cost calculated?
A: Shipping cost is calculated based on package weight, dimensions, destination and shipping method. We can provide an estimated shipping cost before you place an order.
3. How long is the shipping time?
A: DHL/FedEx/UPS express usually 3-7 days; air freight 5-10 days; sea freight 15-45 days (depending on destination port).
4. Do you have overseas warehouses?
A: Currently we do not have overseas warehouses. All goods are shipped directly from our factory in China. However, we can assist you in finding a local customs broker at the destination port.
XV. Quality Assurance & After-Sales
1. How do you control quality?
A: We have strict quality inspection at every stage from raw material incoming, pressing, sintering, grinding to finished product outgoing. Each batch undergoes ultrasonic flaw detection, hardness testing, density testing, etc.
2. What if there is a quality problem?
A: If the quality problem is indeed caused by us, we offer return, replacement or refund. Please provide photo or video evidence within 7 days of receipt. We will provide a solution within 24 hours.
3. What is the shelf life of your products?
A: Tungsten carbide products can be stored for a long time (over 5 years) in dry, room temperature conditions. However, brazed or coated products are recommended to be used within 1 year for optimal performance.
4. What should I do if I find damage upon receipt?
A: Please check the outer packaging for damage before signing. If there is obvious damage, please take photos, reject the shipment, and contact us immediately. We will assist you in claiming compensation from the shipping company or arrange a replacement.
5. Do you take responsibility if a problem occurs after using the product for some time?
A: We are responsible if the problem is caused by material or manufacturing defects. If the problem is caused by improper use, working conditions beyond the recommended range, or normal wear and tear, we will evaluate case by case. Please provide detailed information and photos, and we will provide a reasonable solution.
6. Do you provide technical support after sales?
A: Yes. We can provide product manuals, brazing/welding guidance, processing parameter recommendations, etc. If needed, we can also arrange video guidance.
